Individual Counseling

Individual counseling offers students an opportunity to speak with an objective, caring mental health professional regarding your concerns or issues in a brief, solution focused manner. The issues discussed vary and may include low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, academic difficulties, substance use and interpersonal difficulties amongst others. Counseling sessions last between 45-60 minutes.

How to Schedule an Appointment

Telehealth appointments: Students must be enrolled to be qualified for telehealth sessions. To plan for your meeting, you should finish the which are as follows:

  1. Sign in to your student portal at Practice Management Software

  2. Your appointment day and time will be recorded under “Appointments”.

  3. Click the blue/white etc "Check in" option on your portal home screen and complete all the forms following.

  4. The Black Check in option will be available beginning 75 minutes prior the session. You will need to check in at least 30 minutes prior to the appointment to have enough time to complete all the paperwork. Failure to complete paperwork prior to your appointment may result in screening session being rearranged or shortened.

  5. The day and time of your session, you should be in a confidential area with accessibility to the net and a device with a webcam

  6. You will receive an email invitation with a link to connect to the telehealth site.
