Our internships are aimed at giving young clinicians rich experiences which will assist in improving their clinical skills through the usage of variety of therapeutic modalities. Our goal is to help our interns turn into confident, skilled and culturally sensitive clinicians.

Qualifications

CAPS is a fast paced and dynamic department. We are looking for candidates wanting to complete their third clinical placement for their Masters of Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, etc) program.

Application Process

If you are keen on applying for our Practicum internship position you should give:

• A statement of interest

• A current resume/CV

• Two references (from professionals who can speak to your educational and clinical experience)

• An interview (30 mins)is required.

Kindly note that this is a 500-hour practicum requiring the trainee psychologist to complete 16 hours every week. Trainees psycologists may choose to spread their 16-hours over Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday or Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Any extra times should be negotiated with your placement supervisor.
