Clinical Services - CAPS

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides confidential psychological services for students currently enrolled in LUMS. Our goal is to provide therapy in an atmosphere which is welcoming, comfortable, non-judgmental and sensitive to diversity for all students.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling offers students an opportunity to speak with an objective, caring mental health professional regarding your concerns or issues in a brief, solution focused manner. The issues discussed vary and may include low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, academic difficulties, substance use and interpersonal difficulties amongst others. Counseling sessions last between 45-60 minutes.

How to Schedule an Appointment

Telehealth appointments: Students must be enrolled in order to be eligible for telehealth sessions. To prepare for your session, you will need to complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your student portal at Practice Management Software

  2. Your appointment day and time will be recorded under “Appointments”..

  3. Click the blue/white and so on" "Check in" button on your portal home screen and complete every form following.

  4. The Black Check in option will be accessible starting 75 minutes prior the session. You should log in somewhere around 30 minutes preceding the appointment to have sufficient opportunity to finish all the paperwork. Inability to finish paperwork preceding your appointment might bring about screening session being postponed or rearranged.

  5. On the day and time of your booked session you should be in a confidential location which should have good quality of internet connection and a gadget with a web-cam.
