Personal, Academic & Career Concerns

Adjusting to hostel life

Some students might face some challenges when it comes to adjusting to hostel life and these challenges might make it difficult for students to fulfill their personal and academic needs and requirements. Therefore, in order to provide guidance and support, CAPS counsellors are available for one-on-one therapy sessions to help students through this process. For more information on adjusting to hostel life, please view resources in the ‘My Mental Health Toolkit’ section and for appointment bookings, please drop an email at: student.counselling@lums.edu.pk.

Personal and academic concerns

Students come across a wide range of challenges which might affect their physical as well as mental health and, hence, their academic performance. In some cases, personal problems might lead to academic roadblocks which may result when students face difficulties in adjusting to different academic expectations and requirements. Therefore, to guide students through this process, CAPS aims to help their clients realise and fulfill their true potential in the form of formulation of goals and breakdown of tasks that fall in line with their unique values.
